The Express Claims Advocate is responsible for efficiently managing lower-complexity commercial general liability claims from initial review through resolution. This role requires strong investigative skills, customer focus, and the ability to make sound decisions while meeting quality and performance expectations.
- Manage, investigate, and resolve commercial general liability property damage claims while evaluating coverage, liability, damages, and settlement opportunities within assigned authority levels.
- Review claim reports, policies, investigations, applicable regulations, and legal considerations to determine coverage decisions and appropriate claim outcomes.
- Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and other relevant parties to support accurate claim evaluations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and stakeholders regarding claim status, next steps, and resolution processes.
- Escalate claims requiring additional approval or review while providing recommendations based on investigation findings.
- Handle a high volume of claims while maintaining accuracy, quality standards, and established performance goals.
- Ensure compliance with applicable insurance regulations, statutory requirements, and internal claims procedures.
- Demonstrate empathy, active listening, and strong customer service skills throughout all interactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external resources to achieve effective claim resolutions.
The ideal candidate has experience handling insurance claims and possesses strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills. Success in this role requires adaptability, independence, and the ability to thrive in a remote, high-volume environment.
- 2+ years of claims handling experience, including coverage evaluation and liability assessment, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience with Commercial General Liability claims is preferred.
- Ability to obtain or currently hold a Texas Independent Adjuster License.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Strong investigative, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and performance objectives.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Strong technology skills, including proficiency with Mac systems, Google tools, and Microsoft applications.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Self-motivated, reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-changing environment.
- Competitive annual base salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 USD, depending on location, experience, skills, and qualifications.
