Overview
We offer a competitive salary for this role, with an expected range of $72,000 – $91,300/yr. The final offer will depend on your experience, skills, and overall qualifications. The Planning Department is looking for a passionate, hard-working and organized individual to join the Bath Detail Scheduling team, helping to improve the quality of our shipbuilding plans and schedules. We need someone who knows manufacturing, with a knack for taking complex problems and developing unique, simple solutions for the Enterprise to align around. If this is you, we want you on our team! Operating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), the Detail Scheduler ensures compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards while coordinating with other key stakeholders to meet overall milestones.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Leadership:
- Develop and maintain detail schedules for hulls to execute in a safe manner.
Project Execution:
- Develop and maintain detail schedules for all hulls across land level.
- Regularly update and maintain detail schedules by incorporating changes, updates, and adjustments as necessary incorporating lessons from one build to the next.
Training and Development:
- Identify and assess risks, issues, and conflicts that may impact the schedule.
- Independently identify and complete inter-departmental process improvement projects.
Team Collaboration and Communication:
- Effectively work with other departments including Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering & Quality.
Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously improve scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- High school Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical Field, or
- Graduate Apprentice, or
- 5 Years experience in Ships Completion
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Basic understanding of Microsoft office tools
