Design Technician in Kilgore, Texas at Apex GeoTech Solutions

POSITION SUMMARY

Supports the design team by creating and updating 2D drawings, 3D models, and documentation under the direction of senior engineers and designers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Create and revise 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models per customer and company specifications

· Maintain drawing files and revisions in the File / PDM system

· Generate BOM (bill of materials) & routers, update as needed in ERP system

· Print, distribute, and file engineering documents per document control procedures

· Support senior designers with drafting, formatting, and documentation tasks

· Check drawings for completeness and standard compliance

· Assist with physical part inspection and measurement when required

· Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience

· 2+ years CAD drafting experience

· Proficiency in 3D solid modeling software

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· SolidWorks experience

· PDM system experience

· GD&T knowledge

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Office environment, some time spent on production floor.
