This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Dynamics Engineer based in India.
Join a collaborative, globally distributed engineering team to design, develop, and enhance Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions for complex business environments. In this senior technical role, you will build scalable customizations, develop integrations, and optimize enterprise workflows to meet evolving business needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable, high-quality technical solutions. From development and testing to deployment, upgrades, and ongoing support, you will contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle. You will also help modernize business processes by leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform, automation, and modern development practices. - Solution Development and Customization: Develop, customize, and extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions using AL, C/AL, and the platform's extension model, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and alignment with business requirements.
- Systems Integration: Design, implement, and maintain integrations between Business Central and third-party applications using REST and SOAP APIs, OData, web services, and other appropriate integration technologies.
- Full Lifecycle Delivery: Contribute to all stages of solution delivery, including requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and post-implementation support.
- Business Process Optimization: Support the development and integration of postal workflows, mobile applications, reporting capabilities, and operational processes. Contribute to integrations involving external workflow platforms, postal service systems, and connections between Business Central Operations and Business Central Finance.
- Power Platform and Reporting: Develop and support solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, including configurable reporting capabilities that help business teams access and manage operational information.
- Performance and System Reliability: Diagnose technical issues using telemetry and operational data, perform database and application performance tuning, support system upgrades, and maintain platform stability.
- Engineering Standards and Documentation: Produce clear technical documentation, follow coding standards, participate in code reviews, and apply version control and structured development practices.
- DevOps and Continuous Improvement: Contribute to development automation, CI/CD pipelines, environment management, and deployment processes using tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, Docker, and PowerShell.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders, developers, and other technical teams to clarify requirements, communicate implementation options, resolve complex challenges, and deliver effective solutions.
- Professional Experience: At least five years of hands-on experience developing with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV, including practical expertise in AL and C/AL.
- Dynamics 365 Expertise: Strong understanding of Business Central architecture, its extension model, customization capabilities, and integration patterns.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in AL and C/AL, with knowledge of relevant technologies such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
- Database Expertise: Good knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL, including database querying, data management, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Development Tools: Experience using Visual Studio Code, AL development tools, SQL Server Management Studio, and Business Central Administration Center.
- Integration Capabilities: Demonstrated experience building and maintaining REST and SOAP APIs, OData connections, web services, and integrations with external systems.
- Microsoft Power Platform: Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, with familiarity with reporting solutions such as SSRS, Word layouts, and Excel integration.
- DevOps and Automation: Working knowledge of Git, Docker, and PowerShell. Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
- Monitoring and Diagnostics: Experience using telemetry and diagnostic tools to investigate application issues, analyze operational behavior, and improve system performance.
- Business Process Knowledge: Experience with postal workflows, mobile application integrations, external workflow partners, or financial and operational system integrations is beneficial.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, evaluate alternative approaches, and deliver robust solutions in demanding enterprise environments.
- Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into clear technical concepts while working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Quality and Ownership: A proactive approach to development, attention to detail, commitment to coding standards, and the ability to manage responsibilities throughout the delivery lifecycle.
