Vice President, Sales

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President, Sales based in the United States.

This is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth across a multi-market, multi-platform media network.
You will own the end-to-end sales organization, shaping strategy in partnership with executive leadership and translating it into disciplined, scalable execution.
The role combines hands-on revenue leadership with strategic oversight across national, regional, and local advertising and sponsorship sales.
You will lead and elevate a distributed sales team, building a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, coaching, and results.
A key focus is expanding advertiser and agency partnerships while strengthening the organization’s positioning in digital and audio media.
You will also optimize sales operations, forecasting, and go-to-market strategies to accelerate growth and consistency.
This is a highly visible leadership role for a commercial operator who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial media environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and deliver annual advertising and sponsorship revenue targets across a multi-market, multi-platform media network.
  • Lead the full sales cycle including prospecting, pipeline management, deal execution, pricing, negotiation, and renewals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with advertisers, agencies, and holding companies while personally closing strategic accounts.
  • Translate commercial strategy into execution across local, regional, and national sales motions, ensuring scalable go-to-market alignment.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a distributed sales team, setting clear expectations and fostering a high-performance, growth-oriented culture.
  • Build rigorous forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management practices to ensure predictable revenue performance.
  • Optimize sales playbooks, pricing structures, packaging, and collateral in collaboration with cross-functional teams including marketing, ad ops, and client success.
  • Represent the organization in key markets, strengthening partnerships and gathering market intelligence to inform strategy and execution.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in digital media sales with a strong record of consistent revenue growth.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing high-performing, distributed sales teams.
  • Proven success in multi-market, regional, or network-based sales environments.
  • Experience in audio, podcast, video, or digital advertising, including direct and programmatic sales models.
  • Strong ability to operationalize go-to-market strategies into structured sales motions, playbooks, and revenue systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM-driven sales operations.
  • Strong storytelling and consultative selling skills, with the ability to position brands within narrative-driven media environments.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance sales productivity, prospecting, deal support, and team performance.
  • Proven ability to recruit, coach, and elevate top-performing sales talent.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong accountability, leadership presence, and results orientation.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary range of $140,000 – $160,000, depending on experience and location.
