Job Description
Aslan Technologies, Inc. is currently recruiting for a manufacturing/fabrication position available for a person who will construct/assemble equipment for water/wastewater treatment, chemical dosing and metering. This position will work out of our location in Burlington, Ontario.
The Equipment Installer/Fabricator will install, assemble, and repair specialized piping systems used in water treatment facilities. This role requires strong technical expertise, strict adherence to safety and standard operating procedures, and the ability to work with a wide range of materials including stainless steel, PVC, CPVC and HDPE. The ideal candidate understands the unique regulatory and operational requirements of the industry and can deliver precise, reliable work in high‑compliance environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain piping systems for water treatment processes, including filtration, disinfection, pumping, and distribution
- Fabricate and assemble chemical process piping with attention to corrosion resistance, material compatibility, and containment requirements
- Read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and engineering specifications
- Perform precision cutting and threading of stainless steel, PVC and CPVC
- Assembly of valves and instrumentation related to process piping
- Rigging and Hoisting experience*
- Conduct pressure tests, leak tests, and system integrity checks using approved methods
- Ensure all work complies with environmental, safety, and industry‑specific regulations
- Collaborate with engineers, operators, and project managers to support system commissioning and upgrades
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and system modifications
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience
- Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter in water treatment or related industrial environments
- Experience with corrosion‑resistant materials and chemical‑compatible piping systems
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Proficiency with pipe‑fitting tools and welding equipment
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for water treatment and food processing facilities
- Trade certification or apprenticeship completion preferred
