Senior Consulting Engineer – Gas Turbine Design in San Diego, California at America At Work

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Consulting Engineer with a strong background in gas turbine design and product development.

This is an opportunity to serve as a senior technical expert, lead complex engineering initiatives, and influence the design, testing, manufacturing, and improvement of advanced technologies.

• Lead design, technical, and cross-functional engineering teams
• Own complex engineering and product-development projects
• Lead gas turbine design and development activities
• Solve complex design, manufacturing, and operational problems
• Drive product testing, validation, and manufacturing readiness
• Develop engineering standards, processes, and best practices
• Evaluate and implement new technologies
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineering teams
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, testing, operations, and external partners

• 15+ years of professional engineering experience
• Gas turbine design experience – required
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or related field
• Experience as a Design Lead, Technical Lead, Engineering Lead, or Project Lead
• Experience owning complex engineering or product-development projects
• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience with product testing, validation, manufacturing, or production
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally

• $159K–$239K base salary
