At Lehigh University, equity and civil rights compliance are not administrative afterthoughts — they are central to how the institution serves its community. As the Equal Opportunity and Title IX Case Manager, you'll bring structure, care, and legal fluency to some of the most consequential work on campus, ensuring every report receives a thorough and consistent response.

About The Opportunity

Sitting within Academic Affairs, this full-time exempt position places you at the heart of Lehigh's commitment to a fair, inclusive, and safe campus experience for everyone. You'll be a trusted resource for the university community, guiding people through important processes with clarity and compassion, and helping ensure that Lehigh's obligations under equal opportunity law are met with both integrity and care. The scope is broad, spanning employment, academic programs, contracting, and campus life, which means every day brings meaningful variety and real impact.

  • Creates, updates, and maintains strictly confidential, accurate electronic case files within the case management system, coordinating closely with investigators to ensure all final documentation is properly retained.

  • Provides full logistical support for investigations, including scheduling interviews and organizing evidence, and delivers timely status updates to complainants, respondents, University officials, and relevant external parties throughout the resolution process.

  • Collects and prepares data for legal compliance, annual reports, and training presentations, while collaborating with key campus partners (such as General Counsel, HR, Student Affairs, and Police) to assess and improve response protocols.

  • Designs and delivers virtual and in-person equal opportunity training for faculty, staff, and students, while assisting coordinators in training the specific personnel responsible for resolving compliance matters.

  • Collaborates with university and community partners to host equal opportunity programming, represents the office at campus events (like orientation and staff development days), and explores creating a student-focused peer education group.

  • Manages the office's digital footprint by updating website content and assists in designing, revising, and publishing promotional materials that highlight university policies and campus resources.

  • Supports overall compliance efforts, trend assessments, and office committees, while serving as a designee in the absence of the Equal Opportunity Compliance Coordinator/Title IX Coordinator and assisting them with incident response, committee logistics, and the coordination of supportive measures and reasonable modifications (including for pregnant students).

  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of student and employee data while supporting the Equal Opportunity/Title IX Coordinator with investigations, legal inquiries, report generation, committee service, and assigned special projects or duties.

Qualifications

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for engaging effectively with students, faculty, staff, and external parties
