Lecturer
Location: Princeton, NJ
Salary Range or Pay Grade: $83,100 - $87,500
The Department of History at Princeton University has an occasional curricular need for lecturers to teach undergraduate seminars or precepts (sections) in areas such as the history of North and South America, Asia, Europe (including Great Britain), Africa, and history of science, and accepts applications in advance in the event the occasion arises where such lecturers are needed. Such positions would require teaching courses and/or leading discussions, attending course lectures, being available for meetings with the course instructor(s), holding regular on-campus office hours, and grading student exams and papers. Appointment duty time is subject to enrollments, and any available position may be for the Fall 2026 and/or Spring 2027 semesters, with the potential for renewal depending on departmental need.
An advanced degree is required; Ph.D preferred.
