Just as a master chess player thinks ten moves ahead, this role anticipates inefficiencies before they become problems — redesigning workflows, cutting dimensional weight costs, and ensuring full compliance. You will own the packaging process from concept to shipment, leading a team in a dynamic, regulated environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess OptimizationAudit and redesign packaging workflows to reduce material waste, labor costs, and dimensional weight charges — think of this as tuning an engine so every cylinder fires at the right timeIdentify and implement automation or technology solutions to improve packing speed and accuracyBenchmark packaging KPIs and continuously drive improvement across throughput, error rates, and cost per unitCompliance & Regulatory OversightOversee label accuracy, QR code integration, and required health/ingredient disclosuresPartner with the compliance team to stay ahead of evolving state and federal hemp packaging lawsTeam LeadershipLead, schedule, and develop a packaging team of 8–15 associates across multiple shiftsFoster a culture of precision — like a symphony conductor ensuring every instrument plays its part on timeClient & Vendor RelationsSource and negotiate with packaging material vendors to balance cost, sustainability, and complianceInventory & SystemsMaintain accurate packaging inventory levels within the Warehouse Management System (WMS)Coordinate with fulfillment and receiving teams to prevent bottlenecksRequired Qualifications3+ years of experience in packaging, fulfillment, or production operations —nutraceuticals, or regulated CPG industriesPackaging and labeling regulationsDemonstrated experience leading teams in a warehouse or production environmentProficiency with WMS platforms and Microsoft Office/Google SuiteStrong analytical mindset — you see data like a GPS, using it to reroute toward efficiencyAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsPreferred QualificationsExperience with 3PL operations and multi-client fulfillment environmentsFamiliarity with sustainable packaging practices and eco-friendly material sourcingOSHA 10 or 30 certificationBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork Location: In person
