Job Description
Nurse Aide Trainee – Margaret E. Moul Home
We are looking to hire full-time candidates to work at Margaret E. Moul Home in York, PA, for 1st shift or 3rd shift positions after completion of the Nurse Aide Training program. We will pay for classes and pay you while you are in class. After class, you will receive a pay increase and begin working full time on the floor, training with our residents.
Training Responsibilities
- Learn and demonstrate basic nursing assistant skills and procedures.
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
- Learn proper techniques for transferring, positioning, and assisting patients safely.
- Practice infection prevention, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Learn how to monitor and report changes in a patient's condition to nursing staff.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Develop effective communication skills for working with patients, families, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in classroom instruction and supervised clinical training.
- Follow healthcare facility policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Shifts available : 1st shift and 3rd shift
Class Training Schedule· Program: HACC Nurse Aide Training Program
· Location: HACC York/Misericordia
· Training Period: November 11, 2026 – December 15, 2026
· Class Time: 8:00 AM; 18-day program
· No Class: November 26, 2026 and Friday
· Clinical Training: December 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, and 10, 2026
Certification Preparation
Successful completion of the training program prepares the student to take the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Competency Exam and pursue listing on the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
Requirements: Desired Qualifications- Previous experience in a healthcare, nursing home, assisted living, rehabilitation, hospital, or long-term care setting preferred.
- Experience providing direct care or assisting older adults and individuals with personal-care needs preferred.
- Completion of an approved Nurse Aide training program.
- Ability to successfully complete the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Competency Examination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Dependable, responsible, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, instructions, and care plans.
- Willingness to provide personal care while maintaining patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality
