For an IT professional looking to grow within an MSP and potentially transition into a long-term position, this role offers meaningful development and career-building potential.

Accountabilities:
  • Provide remote Tier 1 technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, and other end-user equipment.

  • Document troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and other work accurately within the professional services automation (PSA) system.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved technical issues to senior technicians and engineers while maintaining ownership of the overall client experience.
  • Assist with client onboarding, technology deployments, system implementations, and other technical projects as needed.
  • Support both cloud-hosted and customer-managed IT environments.
  • Deliver responsive, professional, and customer-focused service across every client interaction.
  • Manage multiple tickets, priorities, and client requests effectively in a fast-paced, SLA-driven environment.
  • Collaborate with senior technical team members to resolve issues efficiently and expand technical knowledge.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is required.
  • At least 1 year of professional technical support experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows desktop operating systems, Active Directory, and network connectivity.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose technical issues methodically and efficiently.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a professional and user-focused approach to technical support.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, tickets, and deadlines in a fast-paced support environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior technicians and engineers and recognize when an issue requires escalation.
  • Reliable internet connectivity and a dedicated workspace suitable for remote technical support.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent technical training is preferred.
  • Experience with ConnectWise Manage or another PSA platform is a plus.
  • Experience with ConnectWise Automate, LabTech, or similar remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools is desirable.
  • Familiarity with server hardware, RAID configurations, iLO/DRAC management, backup and disaster recovery solutions, bare-metal restores, SSL certificates, domain registrars, or web hosting providers is a plus.
  • Candidates must reside in the United States, excluding Washington, California, Alaska, Nevada, Colorado, and Oregon; preference may be given to candidates located in the Midwest or Central Time Zone.
Benefits:
  • Compensation of $18–$20 per hour for approximately 30 hours per week.
  • Contract-to-hire structure with potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs.
  • Fully remote work opportunity within the United States, subject to location restrictions.
  • Exposure to a wide variety of technologies, client environments, and IT infrastructure.
  • Opportunity to work alongside experienced technicians and engineers while developing technical expertise.
  • Supportive environment focused on continuous learning, professional growth, accountability, and exceptional client service.
  • Potential pathway from a contract position into a long-term IT career.
  • Hands-on experience across endpoint support, Microsoft technologies, networking, cloud environments, and managed IT services.
