Sales and Design Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales and Design Consultant based in Canada.

This is a customer-facing role combining interior design, consultative sales, and project management in a highly personalized environment.
You’ll work directly with customers in their homes to understand their needs and create tailored organizational solutions.
Using proprietary CAD tools, you’ll turn ideas into practical, beautiful designs while guiding customers throughout the buying journey.
You’ll own a portfolio of projects, from the initial consultation and measurements through follow-up and installation completion.
Success requires a strong balance of creativity, commercial drive, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service.
The role offers structured training, company-generated leads, and uncapped commission potential after the training period.
It’s an excellent opportunity for a design-minded professional who enjoys building relationships and turning customer needs into high-quality solutions.

Accountabilities:
  • Meet with customers in their homes to understand their needs, preferences, lifestyle, and space requirements, then develop personalized storage and organizational solutions.
  • Measure customer spaces accurately and use proprietary CAD software to create detailed and compelling designs.
  • Guide customers through the complete consultation and sales process, providing expert recommendations and delivering an exceptional service experience.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets through consultative selling, referrals, repeat business, and effective follow-up.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects and customers with varying levels of complexity in a dynamic environment.
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the project lifecycle and ensure expectations are clearly managed.
  • Collaborate closely with installation teams to support smooth project execution and successful completion.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with interior designers and other industry professionals to develop referral and business opportunities.
  • Participate in business development activities, industry events, team meetings, and ongoing training.
  • Develop long-term customer relationships that encourage repeat business, referrals, and continued brand engagement.
Requirements:
  • Strong customer service experience and a proven ability to interact confidently and professionally with the public.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a dynamic, positive, and customer-focused personality.
  • Demonstrated ability or interest in consultative sales and business development; business development experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Interior design education or experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with interior designers, home improvement, custom solutions, or a related industry is an advantage.
  • Strong creative skills combined with meticulous attention to detail and a genuine sense of craftsmanship.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 and confidence using laptops, tablets, and other digital devices.
  • Previous experience with Salesforce, CAD, or other design software is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, projects, priorities, and deadlines independently.
  • Strong relationship-building and follow-up skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required, as the role involves traveling to customers' homes.
  • Willingness to complete a structured 12-week training program and subsequently work within a commission-based compensation model.
Benefits:
  • 12-week paid training program, with hourly compensation during training.
  • Training schedule of approximately Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • After training, commission-based compensation with uncapped earning potential and no base salary.
  • Company-generated leads to support business development following completion of training.
  • Generous company discount.
  • Referral bonus opportunities.
  • Creative, fun, and inclusive work environment.
  • Opportunities to build professional relationships across the design and home improvement industry.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Benefits may vary depending on the independently owned and operated franchise.
