SCHOOL CUSTODIAN in El Paso, Texas at Sparrow Company Executive Search & Staffing

Educational institution is searching for dependable and detail-oriented Custodians to help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for students and staff. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, have strong attention to detail, and be able to work independently while following established cleaning, safety, and sanitation procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, hallways, classrooms, and other assigned areas
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste appropriately
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are properly stored and in good working condition
• Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for events, meetings, and other activities
• Follow all safety protocols and proper procedures when using cleaning products and equipment
• Ensure assigned areas are free of hazards and maintained in accordance with health and safety requirements
• Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and other urgent cleaning needs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Perform other custodial and maintenance duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous custodial, janitorial, or professional cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment
• Basic knowledge of proper cleaning and chemical handling procedures
• Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Dependable, responsible, and safety-conscious
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
