Position Title: Warehouse Coordinator

Position Summary

The Warehouse Coordinator serves as the primary operational link between the Sales and Warehouse teams, ensuring customer orders are executed accurately and efficiently. This role is responsible for coordinating order fulfillment activities, managing workflow within the warehouse management system (WMS), and facilitating communication between internal stakeholders regarding order status, inventory availability, fulfillment challenges, and shipment priorities.

The ideal candidate combines strong administrative and organizational skills with a thorough understanding of warehouse operations, order fulfillment processes, and sales order workflows. Success in this role requires the ability to proactively identify issues, communicate solutions, and align expectations between Sales and Operations to ensure timely customer commitments.

This position is on-site in Hunt Valley, MD

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Sales and Warehouse Operations for order fulfillment activities.
  • Collaborate between Warehouse Operations, Sales and Procurement to speed order fulfillment
  • Coordinate communication regarding order status, inventory availability, fulfillment constraints, and shipping priorities.
  • Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage and route sales orders through the fulfillment process.
  • Monitor escalation order flow and ensure orders are released to the appropriate warehouse functions for timely processing.
  • Work closely with warehouse personnel to identify and resolve fulfillment obstacles.
  • Investigate order-related issues and gather information necessary for Sales and Operations to determine customer commitments.
  • Communicate operational impacts that may affect order timing, product availability, or shipment schedules.
  • Maintain accurate order status information within company systems.
  • Assist in prioritizing warehouse activities based on customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Coordinate with inventory, receiving, and shipping teams to support efficient order fulfillment.
  • Prepare and distribute operational reports as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between departments to promote effective communication and collaboration.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain environment.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and order fulfillment processes.
  • Understanding of sales order workflows and inventory management principles.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain experience.
  • Experience serving in a cross-functional coordination or administrative role supporting warehouse operations.
  • Experience working within ERP and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and order fulfillment best practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent walking throughout the warehouse and office areas.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects.
  • Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily based in a warehouse office environment.
  • Regular presence on the warehouse floor to support communication, coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Interaction is primarily with internal Sales, Operations, and Warehouse personnel.

Success Measures in this role will be evaluated based on:

  • Effective communication between Sales and Operations.
  • Reduction of order fulfillment delays and exceptions.
  • Order status visibility and accuracy.
  • Responsiveness to order-related inquiries.
  • Support of on-time shipment goals.
  • Positive collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00 hourly
