This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager - CPA Level based in Brazil.
This is a full-time, fully remote opportunity leading accounting operations across multiple entities, locations, and business units.
You will take ownership of the month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and core accounting processes.
The role combines hands-on accounting leadership with financial analysis, audit readiness, and internal control management.
You will ensure financial records remain accurate, compliant with US GAAP, and aligned with US accounting practices.
As the organization scales, you will help strengthen accounting systems, processes, controls, and reporting capabilities.
You will work closely with senior finance leadership and business stakeholders in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.

- Own and manage the month-end close process across multiple entities, locations, and business units, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Manage and review P&L, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and other financial records across business units.
- Perform and review bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations using QuickBooks Online.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and compliant with US GAAP and applicable US accounting practices.
- Analyze financial results, investigate discrepancies, identify unusual activity, and proactively flag financial risks.
- Perform and review audit procedures covering revenue, AR, inventory, fixed assets, AP, debt, equity, payroll, and other key accounting areas.
- Test, strengthen, and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes.
- Support external audits by preparing documentation, responding to requests, and maintaining accurate audit-ready records.
- Partner closely with the VP of Accounting and senior leadership to support financial operations and the organization's continued growth.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, workflows, controls, and reporting processes to create a scalable financial infrastructure.
- 5+ years of professional accounting experience, including demonstrated ownership of the month-end close process.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong and practical knowledge of US GAAP and US accounting practices, which is essential for the role.
- Proven experience managing accounting activities across multiple entities, locations, or business units.
- Expert-level proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with financial reporting, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- 2–4 years of public accounting or external audit experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify financial risks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior finance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities independently.
- Experience in a fast-growing or multi-location organization is a plus.
- Experience improving accounting systems, processes, and internal controls is advantageous.
- CPA license is preferred but not required.
- Full-time, fully remote position based in Brazil.
