Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Marketing based in United States.
As the technical owner of a high-impact marketing website, you will shape a critical part of the customer acquisition experience.
You’ll build and continuously improve a fast, interactive, conversion-focused web experience using a modern development stack.
Working at the intersection of Engineering, Marketing, and Growth, you’ll turn business goals into scalable technical solutions.
You’ll own website performance, technical SEO, analytics, experimentation, infrastructure, and measurement integrity.
The role offers significant autonomy, with direct visibility into traffic, conversion, and revenue outcomes.
You’ll also empower non-technical teams through self-service tooling, automation, and thoughtful systems design.
This is an opportunity to make a measurable business impact within a fully remote, collaborative, and AI-forward environment.
- Own the technical direction, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the marketing website, delivering polished, responsive, highly interactive experiences that effectively communicate the product and support customer acquisition.
- Build and launch new pages, components, features, animations, and interactive experiences while maintaining a high standard of quality, usability, and technical craftsmanship.
- Drive website performance and discoverability by optimizing page speed, technical SEO, accessibility, and how content is surfaced by search engines and AI-powered agents.
- Manage and evolve the website platform, including the headless CMS, component systems, integrations, deployment infrastructure, and related technical services.
- Own the technical integrity of website measurement, including analytics, cookies, attribution, conversion events, tracking, and the reliable flow of funnel data into marketing and data systems.
- Partner with Marketing and Growth on experimentation and conversion optimization, using data and customer behavior to improve traffic, conversion, and revenue outcomes.
- Build self-service tools, workflows, automations, and guardrails that enable marketers and designers to create and manage content, campaigns, pages, and experiments independently.
- Develop systems that help the website continuously improve by detecting regressions, performance issues, SEO problems, and other opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Design, Engineering, Growth, and other teams, serving as a technical resource for complex problems beyond the core website when needed.
- Use AI thoughtfully to accelerate development, improve workflows, and empower teams while maintaining strong judgment around quality, craftsmanship, and user experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience building and maintaining marketing websites, ideally in environments where you have owned projects over multiple iterations and demonstrated measurable business impact.
- Strong experience developing modern, high-performance websites, with familiarity with technologies such as Astro, headless CMS platforms, and modern deployment environments such as Vercel.
- Proven ability to create polished web experiences involving advanced CSS, animation, motion, rich media, responsive design, and strong attention to visual quality.
- Deep understanding of website performance, technical SEO, accessibility, and the factors that influence how content is interpreted by both search engines and AI agents.
- Strong knowledge of analytics, cookies, conversion tracking, attribution, experimentation, and marketing technology, with experience using platforms such as Segment, Amplitude, Customer.io, or similar tools.
- Demonstrated ability to connect technical work to business outcomes, particularly acquisition, conversion, engagement, and revenue metrics.
- Experience building self-service systems that allow marketers, designers, or other non-technical stakeholders to work efficiently within appropriate technical guardrails.
- Strong understanding of web infrastructure, CMS architecture, integrations, deployment processes, and the technical systems required to operate a modern marketing website.
- Experience collaborating closely with Marketing, Growth, Design, Product, and Engineering teams and translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Practical experience using AI tools in software development and a thoughtful perspective on where AI can improve productivity versus where human judgment and craftsmanship remain essential.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and collaboration skills, with the resourcefulness to handle both small improvements and complex technical challenges.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment and taking ownership of outcomes from initial concept through implementation and iteration.
- Competitive compensation plus an organization-wide, goal-based bonus.
- Approximately 5 weeks of paid time off to start, plus a one-week company-wide winter holiday break and paid U.S. holidays.
- Additional PTO earned over time, with two extra days added for each year of tenure.
- Flexible 80% work option, allowing eligible employees to choose between a standard five-day workweek or a four-day week at 80% pay in agreement with their manager.
- Paid parental leave for primary and secondary caregivers.
- One-month paid sabbatical after every five years with the team.
- For U.S. residents: two medical plan options with the company covering 99% of the premium, plus dental, vision, HSA, FSA, and company-paid long-term disability coverage.
- For U.S. residents: 401(k) plan with company matching of contributions up to 6%, with immediate vesting.
- Fully remote work environment with a distributed, collaborative team.
- Annual opportunities for the entire team to gather in person and strengthen cross-functional relationships.
- Strong focus on professional growth, autonomy, transparency, and continuous improvement.
