Senior Buyer

Drive the supply chain strategies that bring innovative aviation technology to life.

At Gogo, delivering industry-leading connectivity solutions depends on having the right materials, suppliers, and processes in place at the right time. Our Supply Chain team plays a critical role in ensuring new products move seamlessly from concept to production while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery expectations.

As our Senior Buyer, you'll lead purchasing and new product introduction (NPI) planning activities that ensure materials, components, and assemblies are available to support production and project schedules. You'll work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Logistics, and suppliers to drive material readiness, manage supplier performance, and support the successful launch of new products.

If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving supply chain challenges, and can balance strategic supplier management with operational execution, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

  • Manage supply chain planning, material readiness, and scheduling activities for new product introductions to support successful product launches

  • Coordinate with Engineering to ensure the timely release of specifications, drawings, and documentation required for procurement and production

  • Partner with Production, Quality, Logistics, and suppliers to accelerate the flow of materials and information needed to meet project and manufacturing schedules

  • Own the creation and maintenance of production work orders within ERP systems to support assigned assemblies and subassemblies

  • Develop clear-to-build material readiness reports and prioritize material shortages to ensure uninterrupted production

  • Manage Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementation across purchase orders and production orders while assessing business and inventory impacts

  • Select, evaluate, and develop supplier relationships to support quality, cost, delivery, and business objectives

  • Lead RFQ activities, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, and issue purchase orders to meet production requirements

  • Coordinate the return and replacement of nonconforming materials with suppliers

  • Maintain accurate supplier and purchasing data within ERP and PLM systems

What You'll Bring

  • 5–7 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience within electronics manufacturing, aviation, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing environments

  • 3–5 years of experience working with ERP/MRP systems and product lifecycle management (PLM) software

  • Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and procurement processes

  • Experience with production planning, material readiness, inventory management, and new product introduction activities

  • Ability to analyze data, prioritize competing demands, and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality management systems

Even Better If You Have

You don't need to check every box below. If you bring experience in some of these areas, we'd especially like to hear from you:

  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) programs from development through production release

  • Exposure to electronics manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, or telecommunications industries

  • Knowledge of demand planning, inventory optimization, and supply chain analytics

  • Experience with supplier performance management and strategic sourcing initiatives

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies

  • Experience with advanced ERP, MRP, and PLM platforms

  • Professional certifications such as CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or related supply chain credentials

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams

  • Associate's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Production Planning, Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience
