Now Hiring: Executive Meeting Manager
Location: Marriott Hotel & Golf Club at Champions Circle, Fort Worth
Essential Responsibilities:
- Proactively solicit, negotiate, book, and detail group room blocks and catering events to maximize hotel revenue.
- Manage the full lifecycle of group business from initial inquiry through event execution, ensuring an exceptional client experience.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts through consistent communication and outstanding service, encouraging repeat business.
- Conduct outside sales calls and prospecting efforts with local businesses, organizations, and key industry partners to generate new business opportunities.
- Execute proactive sales strategies and consistently meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual revenue goals for rooms and catering.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and enhance group packages, maximizing profitability while meeting client needs.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships within the local business community to drive awareness and position the hotel as a preferred meeting and event destination.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team and operational departments to ensure seamless event planning, accurate detailing, and successful execution.
- Maintain accurate sales records, activity reports, and account information in the hotel’s sales system.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall sales and revenue objectives.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership, management, organizational and communication skills.
- Exercise excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management and listening skills.
- Must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Suite, SalesPro, or Delphi.
- Presenting professionally and persuasively to individuals and groups.
- Demonstrating sound knowledge of the product and services offered.
- Demonstrates initiative by working independently while consistently exhibiting confidence, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Developing sales relationships within the community by attending community activities such as Chamber of Commerce activities and Convention and Visitors Bureau activities.
- Use analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel.
- Interact with all levels of clients and hotel management.
- Ability to motivate team members to work as a team to ensure service meets appropriate OHM and brand standards.
- Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to challenges.
- The ability to deliver results.
- The ability to work well with, as well as motivate, a variety of personality types and maintain tact and diplomacy throughout all interactions.
- The ability to multitask and prioritize, managing competing deadlines.

Education, Experience, Certifications & Requirements:
- A minimum of five years’ general sales experience. Direct experience in hotel sales is preferred.
- A four-year degree related to sales and hospitality required; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prepare and analyze data figures and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.
- Strong administrative skills including business writing.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Previous hotel sales experience (preferably with a national brand, with a proven track record for success in sales and revenue generation)
- Exceptional service skills, with strong ability to foster effective relationships with all levels of staff, management and clientele
- Very detail oriented.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Must have reliable transportation to visit clients on a regular basis.
Other Physical and/or Special Requirements:
Traveling by vehicle or air to various locations, conferences, etc.
Physical Requirements of the Position:
- Light Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time), and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 to 2/3 of the time), and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists up to 2/3 or most of the time) to move objects. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
- May be required to lift in excess of 40 pounds on occasion.
