Line Cook in Arizona, Texas at Cocopah Casino & Resort/Event Center

SUMMARY:

The Line Cook is responsible for performing any combination of duties necessary to facilitate an extremely high-quality food service experience. Maintain kitchen area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Line cooks must keep the line fully stocked and cleaned before the shift ends. Other duties may be assigned by the Sous Chef or Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Prepare all hot and cold foods per the standards outlined.
• Cook all food orders with maximum care and skill.
• Maintain assigned workstations in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Keep your area stocked and clean.
• Know food safety and handling to include proper temperature requirements.
• Ability to work under very busy circumstances and multi-task.
• The Casino is a 24-hour/7 day-a-week operation and requires availability for all shifts and days.
• Other duties may be assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Some knowledge of advanced food preparation techniques.
• Knowledge of grill, fryer, slicer, and other kitchen equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Applicants must be able to lift 30 pounds.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be certifiable through the Arizona Department of Gaming / Tribal Gaming Office.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• A current health card is required within 30 days of employment.

In the Entertainment industry, one may be subject to a work environment containing excessive noise, smoke, and stress.
