Maintenance Manager - Aberdeen, SD in Aberdeen, South Dakota at Glacial Lakes Energy

Glacial Lakes Energy (GLE) is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team!

The Maintenance Manager plays a key leadership role in the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our facility. This position is responsible for leading and supporting the maintenance team, coordinating maintenance activities and contractors, and developing preventative and proactive maintenance practices that maximize equipment reliability and plant performance.

As our Maintenance Manager, you will:

• Lead, supervise, develop, and support maintenance team members.
• Plan and coordinate preventative, corrective, and proactive maintenance activities.
• Manage maintenance projects, schedules, contractors, vendors, parts, and supplies.
• Partner with the Plant Manager, Production Manager, EHS, Lab, and other departments to maximize plant performance.
• Assist with annual repair and maintenance budgets and capital expense planning.
• Maintain appropriate spare-parts inventory to help minimize plant downtime.
• Track preventative and corrective maintenance work orders and backlog.
• Support shutdown planning, equipment reliability, cost control, and continuous improvement.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Lead by example while building a collaborative, accountable, and team-focused maintenance department.

Preferred candidates will have one of the following combinations of education and experience:

Track A

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in biofuels processes or a closely related industry in Maintenance Management, with progressive roles and responsibilities.

Track B

• Engineering degree from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in progressive roles of responsibility.

Candidates should also have working knowledge of industrial maintenance equipment and systems, including centrifuges, drying equipment, boilers, cooling towers, chillers, air compressors, pumps, valves, electrical circuits, equipment, and 4–20 milliamp instrumentation.

Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel are also required.
