Job Description

Position Summary

This is a full-time on-site role for a Facilities Maintenance Manager at Amplify Health. Under general direction, organizes, monitors, and manages facility maintenance operations; performs a variety of technical tasks relative to facility maintenance; provides technical assistance to the department Assistant Vice President.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, prioritize, and oversee daily facility maintenance activities to ensure buildings, equipment, and work areas remain safe, functional, and well maintained.
  • Supervise and coordinate Maintenance Technicians, assign work orders, monitor completion, and provide guidance and technical support.
  • Perform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and building components.
  • Troubleshoot and perform general mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems, including routine inspections, filter changes, basic repairs, and coordination of specialized HVAC services when needed.
  • Perform basic electrical maintenance, including troubleshooting lighting, switches, outlets, fixtures, wiring, and other facility electrical components.
  • Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance, including faucets, toilets, drains, pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing systems.
  • Perform carpentry and general building repairs, including doors, locks, hardware, drywall, shelving, painting, and other facility improvements.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, equipment deficiencies, and repair needs.
  • Establish preventive maintenance schedules and ensure work orders and maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with contractors and outside service providers for specialized repairs, inspections, maintenance, construction, remodeling, and facility projects.
  • Monitor maintenance supplies, tools, parts, and equipment; maintain appropriate inventory and request materials as needed.
  • Assist with equipment procurement, obtaining estimates, evaluating maintenance needs, and supporting budget and purchasing activities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspection documentation, service reports, and equipment information.
  • Assist with construction projects, renovations, remodeling, installations, and other facility improvement projects.
  • Train and support maintenance staff in proper maintenance procedures, equipment operation, workplace safety, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe facility environments; perform or coordinate cleaning, sanitation, and general facility upkeep as needed.
  • Receive, sort, transport, and deliver internal and external mail, packages, supplies, and other materials throughout the facility.
  • Respond to facility maintenance requests and employee concerns, investigate problems, and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Maintain awareness of facility maintenance, safety, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance practices and incorporate appropriate improvements.
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment and safe work practices when performing maintenance duties.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends, when necessary to complete work orders, emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, or special projects.
  • Perform other related facilities, maintenance, operational, and support duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

    Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Technical, Engineering, manufacturing construction or equivalent experience.2-5 years of experience in Facilities and Maintenance.

Technical Skills

  • Mechanical Maintenance: Troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of mechanical systems and facility equipment
  • HVAC: Basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems
  • Electrical: Basic electrical troubleshooting, repairs, wiring, switches, outlets, lighting, and electrical equipment
  • Plumbing: Troubleshooting and repair of faucets, toilets, pipes, drains, fixtures, and other plumbing systems
  • Carpentry: Basic carpentry, drywall repair, painting, door and hardware repairs, shelving, and general building repairs
  • General Facilities Maintenance: Preventative maintenance, work orders, inspections, repairs, and facility upkeep
  • Cleaning & Sanitation: Cleaning common areas, workspaces, equipment, and maintaining safe and sanitary facilities
  • Mail & Delivery: Receiving, sorting, and distributing internal and external mail, packages, and supplies
  • Tools & Equipment: Safe and effective use of hand tools, power tools, maintenance equipment, and diagnostic tools
  • Safety & Compliance: Following facility safety procedures, identifying hazards, and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Contractor Coordination: Assisting with contractors, service vendors, repairs, renovations, and facility projects
  • Inventory & Supplies: Monitoring maintenance supplies, tools, equipment, and materials and identifying replenishment needs

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use the telephone, use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Good vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30an –4:30pm with flexibility (No Remote Option at this time)
8 hours per day excluding breaks.
