This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sourcing and Order Specialist based in India.
This is a high-ownership operations role focused on managing end-to-end sourcing and order execution within a fast-scaling global supply chain environment. You will play a key role in ensuring that custom apparel orders are accurately sourced, manufactured, and delivered on time by coordinating with overseas suppliers and internal teams. The role combines procurement, vendor management, and operational execution, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with manufacturers, negotiating pricing and timelines, and ensuring production quality aligns with business expectations. In this fast-paced, remote-first environment, you will act as a critical link between suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and keep operations running smoothly. - Manage end-to-end sourcing and procurement for custom apparel orders, including creation and release of purchase orders and coordination with overseas suppliers and manufacturers.
- Track production cycles closely to ensure timely execution, delivery accuracy, and alignment with order specifications.
- Negotiate pricing, production timelines, and quality standards with vendors while maintaining strong long-term supplier relationships.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for order execution issues, working cross-functionally with internal teams such as design, sales, and fulfillment to resolve delays or production challenges.
- Maintain accurate procurement trackers and documentation using Excel/Google Sheets, ensuring real-time visibility of order status, costs, and supplier details.
- Identify process gaps and proactively suggest improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of sourcing operations.
- Take ownership of operational initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement across sourcing and order management workflows.
- 2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or buying within an operational or supply chain environment.
- 2+ years of experience in order processing or order management, handling end-to-end execution workflows.
- Strong experience working with overseas suppliers or manufacturers in fast-paced, high-volume environments is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for tracking, reporting, and operational analysis.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to manage external vendor relationships effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple concurrent orders.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
