Job Description

Senior Community Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Community Manager based in France.

This role goes far beyond traditional community management, focusing instead on designing and shaping an entire ecosystem of interconnected stakeholders. You will be responsible for defining how contributors, enterprise clients, partners, and users interact within a multi-layered network.
Your work will directly influence the strength, trust, and long-term cohesion of a global ecosystem that depends on meaningful relationships rather than transactional engagement.
You will operate at a strategic level, building the structures that enable communities to compound in value, loyalty, and connectivity over time.
The environment is highly analytical and systems-oriented, requiring a balance of relational intelligence and strategic design thinking.
You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, strengthen ecosystem health, and improve cross-network interactions.
This is a high-impact role for someone who understands that modern community building is fundamentally about designing scalable human networks.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and design the structure of the ecosystem, including how users, contributors, clients, and partners interact and create shared value.
  • Develop and maintain multi-stakeholder relationship strategies that strengthen trust and engagement across all segments.
  • Identify ecosystem risks, sentiment shifts, and trust gaps early, and implement structured communication strategies to address them.
  • Build and refine community-to-product feedback loops, translating ecosystem insights into actionable recommendations for leadership and product teams.
  • Create rituals, recognition systems, and narrative frameworks that reinforce identity and strengthen ecosystem belonging.
  • Support strategic expansion efforts by evaluating new segments and markets through a community and network lens.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve ecosystem resilience, reduce fragmentation, and increase long-term stakeholder retention and loyalty.
Requirements:
  • 6–10+ years of experience in community management, ecosystem leadership, or network-based roles.
  • Proven experience working with multi-sided platforms such as marketplaces, SaaS ecosystems, or distributed networks.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, including enterprise and grassroots communities.
  • Strategic mindset with a deep understanding of network effects and ecosystem dynamics.
  • Analytical comfort with engagement, retention, and ecosystem health metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage at both executive and community levels.
  • Experience translating community insights into strategic or product-level decisions.
  • Strong sense of ownership, with the ability to operate independently in complex environments.
  • High emotional intelligence combined with structured, systems-level thinking.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience
  • Flexible and remote-friendly work environment
  • Opportunity to shape a high-impact global ecosystem
  • Strong ownership and strategic decision-making responsibility
  • Collaborative, mission-driven, and intellectually stimulating environment
  • Exposure to multi-stakeholder, international network dynamics
  • Career growth in a high-level community and ecosystem leadership role
  • Direct influence on product, strategy, and organizational direction
