Scheduler in Odessa, Texas at Medical Center Hospital

The Surgical Services Scheduler schedules procedures and appointments in compliance with the Operating Room, Endoscopy, and Cath Lab rules and regulations as prescribed by the governing bodies of Medical Center Hospital. He/she assists the Unit Coordinator and Unit Director in the clerical duties that are associated with record keeping of surgical cases.

Education:

High School graduate or equivalent.

Training and Experience:

1. 1. 1. Medical terminology required
      2. Knowledge of Windows based computer programs required
      3. Complete the following competencies within 3 months of hire or transfer to department:
         • Successful posting of surgical, endoscopy, and cath lab procedures
         • Management and maintenance of procedures in HSM system
         • Generate needed reports
