Position Summary: This position is responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System under the direction of the Quality Manager. This includes; utilizing metrics from various databases, managing and implementing procedural methods, driving of continuous improvement actions, adherence and compliance to applicable standards, and associated reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities: Apply knowledge of electronic assembly processes, production capabilities and Lean manufacturing concepts to develop, review and update process documentation. Manage corrective action plans and lead problem-solving efforts to determine root cause and develop corrective actions. Conducts investigations into quality issues and drives associated actions in cross-functional team environment. Utilizes data from various databases such as MES, ERP, Individual Equipment, and other internally developed systems Prepares reports for both internal and external customers by collecting and summarizing data driven findings. Ensures compliance to internal and external standards. Conduct internal audits of the Quality Management System. Lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects. Communicate and coordinate within the Engineering, Account Management, Quality, Materials, and Production departments to ensure quality of product and services. Participate in and support our Quality Management System (QMS). Incorporate and apply Lean Manufacturing concepts in all job functions. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications: (Education, Training, Skills, and Experience)
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or ASQ Certified
Quality Engineer.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Understanding of electronics manufacturing and processes.
Ability to interpret a written or oral instructions and documents furnished in diagrams, CAD files, drawings, customer specifications, electrical component specifications and/or other forms.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts and implementation.
Ability to multi-task and set tasks to maintain a schedule.

Ability to work independently of supervision 1-3 years of related experience in related manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with electronics industry acceptability standards for PCB/PCBA such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-600.
Working knowledge of MS Software (Word, Excel, etc).
Experience with ERP systems, especially Epicor software, preferred.
Experience with MES systems/ AEGIS FLX (or similar) software experience preferred Knowledge of SPC, Root Cause Corrective Action, FMEA, PFMEA, DMAIC, PPAP, Gage R&R, and other statistical tools.
Completion of a Visual Acuity Test and Color Blindness according to the Visual Acuity Testing Policy.
Performance Metrics: To be determined based on functional area and/or other requirements.
Physical Parameters: Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment and on the production floor. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. On the production floor, the employee is occasionally exposed to working near moving mechanical parts and caustic fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to work comfortably in an area with moderate background noise. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to move, push and pull weights up to 50 lbs. Visual Acuity must meet or exceed 20/25 and must pass a color blindness test.
