No chimney experience? We will teach you. If you have at least two years of construction, roofing, masonry, HVAC or carpentry experience, enjoy working with your hands, and want to learn, we will give you the training, the mentorship and the support to build a career here.

The Mad Hatter is hiring a Chimney Apprentice to serve homeowners in Alpharetta, Roswell, Johns Creek, Cumming, Milton and the north Atlanta metro. You will work alongside experienced technicians to install, repair and maintain chimney systems, learning the trade from the ground up. We provide the vehicle, the tools and the training.

What you will do

• Assist with chimney installations, repairs, relining and maintenance.

• Load, unload and prepare tools, equipment and materials.

• Learn proper installation techniques and industry best practices.

• Work safely on ladders, rooftops and elevated work areas.

• Keep job sites clean, organized and professional.

• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company well in a customer's home.

• Complete job documentation and keep your team posted on progress.

• Follow all company safety policies, including proper PPE and fall protection.

What we are looking for

• At least 2 years of experience in construction, roofing, masonry, HVAC, carpentry or another skilled trade.

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand and power tools.

• Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. You will drive a company vehicle to job sites, so this is a condition of employment.

• Dependable, eager to learn, and ready to build a long-term career.

Physical requirements

These are typical of the role and can be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Lift and carry 50 pounds or more.

• Climb ladders and work at heights.

• Perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather.
