Role Summary
The Forklift Operator I is responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout Rebel Athletic’s warehouse using forklifts and other powered industrial equipment. This role supports daily shipping, receiving, inventory, storage, and order fulfillment activities while maintaining Rebel Athletic’s safety, accuracy, and quality standards.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is safety-focused, dependable, and detail-oriented. The Forklift Operator I works closely with the warehouse team to ensure products are received, moved, staged, and stored accurately while supporting daily production and shipping timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Forklift and Equipment Operations
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment to load, unload, move, and stage materials
- Transport products and pallets throughout the warehouse according to operational needs
- Safely stack, retrieve, and store products within designated warehouse rack systems
- Perform daily equipment inspections before use
- Promptly report equipment maintenance needs, damage, hazards, or safety concerns
- Follow all company safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines
Shipping, Receiving and Order Fulfillment
- Assist with receiving inbound shipments and unloading materials
- Verify received quantities against bills of lading, packing lists, and other receiving documentation
- Stage pallets and products for picking, packing, and shipping
- Support the movement of completed orders to designated staging and shipping areas
- Help ensure materials are available where needed to support daily order fulfillment
Inventory and Warehouse Organization
- Move and store inventory in designated warehouse locations accurately
- Assist with cycle counts and basic inventory tasks as assigned
- Support accurate product placement and inventory organization
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse work areas
- Identify and communicate inventory discrepancies or product damage to management
Warehouse Operations and Team Support
- Support general warehouse activities when forklift or equipment operation is not required
- Work collaboratively with warehouse team members to meet daily operational and shipping goals
- Prioritize assigned tasks to support production schedules and deadlines
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the workday
- Perform other warehouse duties and special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 0–1 year of warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, or similar experience
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related warehouse equipment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper equipment operation
- High attention to detail and accuracy when moving, staging, and storing inventory
- Ability to read and understand work orders, bills of lading, packing lists, and inventory documents
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Dependable and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to regularly lift and move approximately 20–50 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the workday
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating sit-down or stand-up forklifts in a warehouse environment
- Familiarity with RF scanners and barcode systems
- Experience with warehouse or inventory management systems
- Experience in apparel, distribution, or high-volume fulfillment environments
Compensation Range
Competitive hourly compensation based on experience.

Working Conditions
- On-site work schedule in a warehouse environment
- Full-time role with standard scheduled hours and occasional overtime during peak periods
- Regular operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment
- Exposure to moving equipment, warehouse traffic, loading docks, and varying temperatures
- Requires prolonged standing and walking, as well as frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and other physical activity
- Regularly requires lifting and moving products and materials weighing approximately 20–50 pounds
- Fast-paced environment requiring strong safety awareness, attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency
- Regular interaction and collaboration with warehouse team members and management
