Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist in West Des Moines, Iowa at Homesteaders Life Company Corp

As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist, you will help move the Marketing Cloud Engagement environment forward. Your role will include translating business use cases into working journey, flows, automations and campaigns, while supporting the day-to-day configurations of the environment. The ideal background is someone comfortable working directly in the platform, partnering with business users to understand requirements, and coordinating with external partners or technical resources.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Build, launch and optimize Marketing Cloud journeys, automations and triggered campaigns across email, SMS and CloudPages.
• Translate business requirements into campaign logic, segmentation, Data Extensions, queries, trigger criteria and CRM handoffs. Use Salesforce Data Cloud/Data 360 and other customer data platform capabilities for audience segmentation, identity resolution and data activation.
• Support Marketing Cloud administration, including users, roles, permissions, business units and access configuration, escalating advanced technical needs as appropriate.
• QA campaign execution end to end, including data, personalization, suppression logic, opt-in/opt-out requirements, deliverability and AI-generated copy. Review and edit AI-assisted content for accuracy, brand standards and compliance before launch.
• Monitor adoption and campaign performance, including active campaign volume, leads generated, appointments set/held and closed-won conversions; troubleshoot issues that limit execution.
• Document processes, train business users and coordinate with Salesforce, IT and external partners to improve platform health, usability and scalable campaign execution.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience also considered.
• 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud, marketing automation or campaign operations experience.
• Proven track record building and launching journeys, automations and campaigns in a production environment.
• Experience supporting platform administration, documenting workflows and enabling non-technical business users.
• Working knowledge of marketing compliance and privacy requirements, including CAN-SPAM, CTIA and TCPA.
• Salesforce Administrator certification preferred; Salesforce Platform App Builder certification is a strong plus. Candidates without these certifications must be willing to obtain relevant Salesforce certifications.
• Experience with other enterprise marketing automation or customer engagement platforms is a plus.
