The Data Entry Clerk in accounting and purchasing ensures that all financial, procurement, and inventory records are accurately entered, verified, and maintained in company systems, supporting compliance, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Data Entry & Updates: Input new purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and inventory data into accounting software, ERP systems, or spreadsheets.
- Cross-check entered data against source documents (e.g., bills, purchase orders) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Update existing records when information changes; maintain both digital and physical files in an organized, accessible format.
- Review batches of data for errors, duplicates, or missing information; correct discrepancies before processing.
- Compile and generate reports on purchasing activity, inventory levels, or financial transactions as required.
- Follow data privacy and security protocols; handle sensitive financial and procurement information with confidentiality.
- Work with purchasing, accounting, and warehouse teams to ensure data consistency across systems.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP/CRM systems, and spreadsheet software; ability to work with scanned documents and digital records.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, accuracy, and ability to work under minimal supervision.
Education:
High school diploma or GED; associate degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP/CRM systems, and spreadsheet software; ability to work with scanned documents and digital records.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, accuracy, and ability to work under minimal supervision.
Daily Schedule: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm OR 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday -Thursday
