EEC Solutions is hosting applicants for the Finance Management Program under the DOW Skillbridge Program.

This SkillBridge opportunity is designed only for a transitioning service member interested in developing civilian experience in federal government contracting accounting, contract finance, financial management, and proposal pricing. The participant will work in a fully remote environment and gain applied experience supporting the financial operations of a small federal government contractor.

About the Opportunity:

The Federal Government Contracting Accountant / Pricing Assistant SkillBridge position provides exposure to the unique financial requirements associated with supporting federal government contracts. The participant will gain practical experience in accounting, accounts payable and receivable, government contract billing, indirect cost management, financial analysis, contract funding, and federal proposal pricing.

This opportunity is particularly well suited for transitioning service members with backgrounds in military finance, comptroller operations, resource management, budgeting, contracting,
acquisition, or related financial-management functions who want to translate their military experience into the federal contracting industry.

Training and Learning Areas:

During the program, the SkillBridge participant will receive hands-on exposure to areas including:

* General ledger accounting and bookkeeping

* Accounts payable and accounts receivable

* Bank, credit-card, and accounting reconciliations

* Financial statements and financial reporting

* Government contract invoicing and billing

* Contract funding, expenditures, and remaining-balance tracking

* Contract burn-rate analysis

* Contract-level revenue and cost tracking

* Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) concepts

* FAR Part 31 Cost Principles

* Allowable, allocable, reasonable, and potentially unallowable costs

* Government-contract accounting and audit-readiness practices

* Contract and CLIN-level financial tracking

* Indirect cost allocation

* Fringe, overhead, and General & Administrative (G&A) rates

* Fully burdened labor rates and wrap rates

* Federal proposal pricing

* FFP, T&M, and cost-reimbursement pricing structures

* Labor-rate and multi-year pricing models

* Proposal pricing analysis

* Contract ceilings and funding requirements

* Revenue, expense, and cash-flow forecasting

* Contract profitability and financial performance analysis

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent directly relevant experience may be considered.

* Minimum 3–5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or financial management experience.

* Demonstrated experience with:

* General ledger accounting.

* Accounts payable.

* Accounts receivable.

* Financial reconciliations.

* Financial reporting.

* Microsoft Excel.

* Experience preparing or analyzing budgets and financial models.

* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain organized financial documentation.

* Ability to handle confidential financial and company information.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Federal Contracting Required Qualifications:

Candidates should have experience or demonstrated knowledge in several of the following areas:

* Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

* FAR Part 31 Cost Principles.

* Government contract accounting.

* DCAA accounting expectations.

* Indirect cost allocation.

* Fringe, overhead, and G&A calculations.

* Federal proposal pricing.

* Fully burdened labor-rate calculations.

* Contract funding and burn-rate analysis.

* FFP and T&M contracts.

* Cost-reimbursement contracting.

* Government invoicing.

* Contract and CLIN financial tracking.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Military / DoD Background.

* Prior military or Department of Defense financial-management experience is highly desirable.

* CPA, CMA, CGFM, CDFM, or similar certification.

* Experience working for a small or mid-sized federal contractor.

* Experience with 8(a), SDVOSB, HUBZone, or other small-business federal contracting programs.

* Experience supporting DoD contracts.

* Experience with government proposal pricing.

* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

* Experience with accounting and timekeeping systems used by government contractors.

* Experience with Wave Accounting, QuickBooks, Unanet, Deltek, or similar systems.

* Experience preparing indirect-rate calculations and financial forecasts.

* Experience supporting DCAA audits or accounting-system reviews.

* Candidates with a combination of military financial-management experience and commercial/federal contractor accounting experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Program Format:

The participant should be comfortable operating in a remote small-business environment where accounting, contract administration, pricing, and financial analysis frequently overlap.

What You Will Gain:

Upon successful completion of the approximately 120-day SkillBridge program, the participant will receive structured training and applied experience in federal government contracting accounting and pricing, civilian-applicable experience supporting future employment opportunities, and a Certificate of Completion for the SkillBridge Finance Management Program. The experience may also help prepare participants for future professional credentials such as CGFM, CDFM, CMA, CPA, or similar financial-management certifications, subject to each certifying organization's requirements.
