Night Audit in North Augusta, South Carolina at StepStone Hospitality Inc.

Crowne Plaza North Augusta is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Night Auditor to oversee overnight Front Office operations and ensure the accuracy of the hotel's daily financial transactions. This position combines guest service, accounting, and administrative responsibilities, including guest check-ins and check-outs, daily revenue reconciliation, financial reporting, and preparing the property for the following business day. The ideal candidate possesses strong customer service, mathematical, and problem-solving skills and can work independently while maintaining IHG brand standards and StepStone Hospitality policies.

1. Night Audit & Financial Reporting

• Complete the nightly audit process, ensuring all guest transactions, payments, and revenue are accurately recorded and balanced.
• Reconcile Front Desk and food and beverage transactions, including restaurant, bar, cash, and credit card settlements.
• Prepare and distribute daily financial reports, including guest ledger summaries, revenue reports, and other required documentation.
• Identify and correct discrepancies in guest accounts, payment transactions, and financial records.
• Complete the end-of-day process and prepare hotel systems for the next business day.

2. Front Office & Guest Services

• Manage overnight Front Desk operations, including guest check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and telephone inquiries.
• Provide exceptional guest service in accordance with Crowne Plaza and IHG brand standards.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, complaints, and service recovery needs.
• Recognize IHG One Rewards members and promote loyalty enrollment in accordance with hotel expectations.
• Communicate room status, guest concerns, and important operational updates to incoming Front Office staff and management.
• Monitor overnight hotel activity and promptly report

3. Overnight Operations & Security suspicious behavior, safety concerns, or emergencies.

• Coordinate with Security, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other departments to address overnight operational needs.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, guest complaints, and unresolved issues for management review.
• Follow established procedures for guest privacy, payment security, cash handling, and confidential information.
• Ensure the Front Desk and lobby remain clean, organized, and welcoming throughout the overnight shift.

4. Administrative Support & Compliance

• Maintain accurate guest records, reservations, financial documentation, and daily audit files.
• Utilize OPERA/OPERA Cloud and other hotel systems to manage reservations, guest accounts, and daily reporting.
• Support Front Office leadership by identifying operational concerns and communicating opportunities for improvement.
• Follow all IHG brand standards, StepStone Hospitality policies, and applicable safety and financial procedures.
• Attend required departmental meetings and training sessions and perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of hotel Front Desk, night audit, accounting, or related experience preferred.
• Previous experience with OPERA or OPERA Cloud preferred.
• Strong mathematical, computer, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide professional guest service.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and exercise sound judgment during overnight operations.
• Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
