Position Summary

The Event and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and promoting dealership events while supporting all marketing initiatives that drive guest traffic, community engagement, motorcycle sales, service business, and general merchandise revenue. This role serves as a key ambassador of the Harley-Davidson lifestyle by creating memorable guest experiences through events, social media, promotions, and community partnerships.

The ideal candidate is creative, highly organized, energetic, and passionate about motorcycles, events, and relationship-building. This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, rallies, and special dealership events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and execute dealership events, rallies, open houses, bike nights, charity rides, customer appreciation events, and community outreach activities.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including vendor management, entertainment, permits, sponsorships, event setup, and teardown.
  • Develop and execute promotional marketing campaigns to increase event participation and dealership traffic.
  • Create and schedule social media content across multiple platforms.
  • Assist with photography, video content creation, and event coverage.
  • Coordinate email marketing campaigns and guest communications.
  • Maintain and update dealership website content, event calendars, and promotional materials.
  • Promote new motorcycle inventory, used motorcycles, service specials, parts promotions, and MotorClothes merchandise through various marketing channels.
  • Build relationships with community organizations, local businesses, media outlets, and event partners.
  • Support Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) activities and rider community engagement.
  • Track event attendance, lead generation, and marketing performance metrics.
  • Assist with in-store merchandising, promotional displays, signage, and branding initiatives.
  • Ensure all marketing materials comply with Harley-Davidson brand standards.
  • Monitor marketing budgets related to events and promotions.
  • Support dealership departments with marketing requests and special initiatives.
  • Represent the dealership professionally at all times and promote a positive guest experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Strong public relations and relationship-building skills.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, and video editing preferred.
  • Knowledge of motorcycle culture and the Harley-Davidson lifestyle preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of marketing, event coordination, social media, or promotional experience preferred.
  • Experience in retail, powersports, automotive, hospitality, or event management is a plus.
  • Harley-Davidson or motorcycle industry experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout dealership property and event locations.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to travel between dealership locations and event venues when needed.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a fast-paced Harley-Davidson dealership environment with frequent interaction among guests, vendors, community partners, and dealership personnel. This position includes office work, dealership floor presence, and outdoor event participation. Evening, weekend, holiday, and event hours are regularly required.
