Centennial PRN Monday-Friday day shift $2,500 Sign-on Bonus
POSITION GOAL
Assist physicians and other staff members with care of patients in producing high quality radiographs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carries out radiology requisitions and views. Uses radiographic technique, PACS, and assists other staff members as needed.
- Memorizes the specific views each physician requires on exams.
- Assists patients in getting into the positions required to get the radiographs needed with the occasional need to lift the patient.
- Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Stocks necessary supplies.
- Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
- Assists with and provides direct training and supervision to student technologists.
- Ensures equipment is in working order. Reports any malfunction to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Imports and uploads outside CDs for clinic.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
Required:
• Six (6) months' experience as a radiologic technologist is required.
Preferred:
• Previous orthopaedic experience.
Education:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of course work in radiologic technology approved by the ARRT.
- Current ARRT certification & current TN licensure.
Special Qualifications:
Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Knowledge of radiographic technique and medical imaging system(s).
- Vast knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy.
- Ability to work independently and have working knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
- Valid Driver’s License, satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) and proof of insurance required for position on-boarding.
- Annual MVR is required per policy and procedure; background reports may be run as needed throughout the course of employment.
