Colony Care at Home is seeking compassionate and dependable Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide personal care and support to clients in their homes or facilities. If you enjoy helping others maintain their independence, safety, and quality of life, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Depending on your certification and the needs outlined in each client’s care plan, responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and other personal care needs
• Assisting with transfers, ambulation, and mobility
• Using canes, walkers, wheelchairs, and other mobility equipment
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding as needed
• Providing light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing linens
• Providing medication reminders
• Assisting with errands, shopping, and appointments as outlined in the care plan
• Monitoring and reporting changes in a client’s condition
• Completing daily documentation
• Maintaining client privacy and confidentiality

Home Health Aide (HHA) Qualifications

• Current 75-hour HHA certificate and/or current CNA license
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to follow a client’s care plan
• Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required

HHA Physical/Care Requirements: This is a hands-on position that may involve full transfers of clients weighing up to 200 lbs. and the use of a Hoyer lift.

Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Qualifications

• Completed and approved 60-hour PCA course and/or current CNA license
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to follow a client’s care plan
• Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required

PCA Physical/Care Requirements: PCA clients are generally able to perform up to 50% of their personal care independently. The PCA position does not involve full transfers.
