Medical Assistant (MA) – RWJBarnabas Health

A typical day for a Medical Assistant may include:

• Accurately Inputs data into Epic
• Maintains a professional demeanor
• Answers telephone in a professional manner
• Assists providers during examinations as needed
• Facilitates patient follow up care and appointments
• Duplicates medical records as requested or needed
• Coordinate patient flow to ensure timely and efficient care
• Performs clinical testing including EKGs, installs Zio patches, as applicable
• Interact with patients and handles patient inquiries in a professional manner
• Prepares patient for provider by obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical history, medication list, and chief complaints

• This position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 9:30am - 5:30pm, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining a work-life balance.
• You have a high school diploma/GED, a current American Heart Association BLS certification, and successful completion of all Orientation Program is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential (AAMA, AECA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, NCMA, or NHA) is preferred.
• A minimum 1 year of MA experience is preferred.
