Job Description

Description:

The Senior Director, Learning & Enterprise Enablement is responsible for building the organizational capabilities, learning solutions, and enablement practices required to execute the Company’s strategy and support sustainable growth. This leader oversees learning and development across field operations and corporate teams, ensuring employees and leaders have the knowledge, skills, tools, and resources needed to perform successfully.

The Senior Director also serves as a key execution partner for enterprise initiatives, translating new strategies, systems, processes, products, and operating standards into practical readiness and adoption plans. Working closely with Operations, Commercial Teams, Human Resources, Communications, Technology, Marketing, Supply Chain, Food Safety, and other functional leaders, this role connects strategy to execution through disciplined program management, effective change enablement, scalable learning, and measurable business outcomes. The successful candidate is both a strategic leader and a hands-on operator who can build scalable infrastructure, lead through ambiguity, and ensure new programs are understood, adopted, and consistently executed throughout a distributed organization.

Key Competencies

  • Enterprise thinking, business acumen, and execution discipline
  • Operational orientation and practical solution design
  • Strategic influence with executives, operators, and functional leaders
  • Change leadership, readiness, and adoption planning
  • Talent leadership and team development
  • Learning agility and continuous improvement

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead an enterprise learning and enablement strategy aligned with organizational priorities and growth plans, and maintain a prioritized roadmap balancing strategic, operational, and compliance needs
  • Oversee the design, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of learning programs supporting field operations, corporate teams, and people leaders
  • Establish enterprise learning standards, governance, and methodologies that create consistency while allowing programs to be adapted for different audiences and operating environments
  • Conduct needs assessments and performance analyses to identify capability gaps, determine root causes, and recommend learning and non-learning solutions
  • Lead the learning strategy for field operations, including role-based training, onboarding, new product and process training, leadership development, compliance, and ongoing performance support
  • Partner with Operations to develop, implement, and reinforce operating standards, operations manuals, standard operating procedures, job aids, and certification programs
  • Establish train-the-trainer, facilitator certification, and quality-assurance processes, and validate field readiness, capability, and execution before and after launch
  • Build scalable learning for corporate employees and people leaders, including onboarding, leadership and management development, and enterprise-wide skill development, partnering with senior leaders and Human Resources to identify the capabilities needed to support future growth
  • Serve as the learning and enablement lead for significant cross-functional initiatives — new technology, inventory-management processes, operating systems, products, or organizational changes — developing change strategies that address stakeholder alignment, communications, leadership readiness, learning, adoption, and reinforcement
  • Identify adoption risks, field-execution barriers, and readiness gaps; recommend mitigation strategies; and conduct post-launch evaluations of adoption, execution, and business impact
  • Lead the full lifecycle of learning and enablement programs, maintaining integrated project plans, status reporting, and governance across concurrent initiatives, and escalating risks, resource constraints, and decisions requiring leadership attention
  • Oversee the creation of learning experiences and performance-support resources across in-person, virtual, digital, mobile, and on-the-job formats, and maintain quality standards for design and facilitation
  • Provide strategic oversight of the learning technology ecosystem, including the learning management system, and evaluate emerging tools, including artificial intelligence, that improve content development and measurement
  • Establish a measurement strategy and scorecard covering participation, skill demonstration, time to proficiency, adoption, execution consistency, and business impact; define success measures with business sponsors before development begins; and present results to senior leadership
  • Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing Learning and Enterprise Enablement team; manage external learning partners and vendors; and manage the function’s budget against top priorities

This job description describes the general duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
