Forklift Operator - Yard Help in Pewaukee, Wisconsin at Century Fence Company

GENERAL FUNCTION: Safely and efficiently move materials within a warehouse or outside yard by operating a forklift to load and unload trucks, transport goods, and maintain inventory levels, ensuring proper product handling and storage throughout the process.

REPORTS TO: Shop Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate forklifts to transport materials and products from the yard to the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks and containers with goods, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking and moving goods.
• Ensure material is accurately pulled from bill of material.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulations at all times.
• All other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• All roles are required to be on site at their assigned location daily to perform their role.
• This position requires the ability to stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, climb and reach above the shoulders on a regular basis.
• Position requires the ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs on a regular basis and use various shop equipment and tools (including but not limited to ladders, carts, pallet jacks, etc.).
• Equipment must always be used in a safe manner.
• Shop teammates who are trained in use of the forklift, drive the forklift as a primary/essential duty, and/or are back-up forklift operators must have current training, and always use the equipment safely.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
