This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager - State & Local Government in United States.

This role is responsible for driving strategic growth across public sector markets by selling security and identity solutions to state and local government agencies. You will manage the full sales cycle within an assigned territory, focusing on building relationships with key decision-makers in public safety, law enforcement, and justice organizations. The position requires a strong understanding of regulated environments, particularly CJIS compliance, and the ability to position complex cybersecurity solutions effectively. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and channel partners to develop and close new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts. This is a high-impact, field-oriented sales role that combines consultative selling, strategic territory management, and executive-level engagement. You will play a key role in helping public sector organizations improve access security and operational efficiency.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and drive the full sales cycle from prospecting and opportunity creation to forecasting, negotiation, and closing deals within the state and local government sector
  • Achieve and exceed regional booking targets while maintaining accurate forecasts and pipeline management in Salesforce
  • Engage and build relationships with senior-level decision-makers across public safety, law enforcement, and government agencies
  • Position CJIS-compliant security and identity solutions aligned with customer regulatory and operational requirements
  • Develop and execute territory strategies focused on new business acquisition and expansion of existing accounts
  • Collaborate with inside sales teams, channel partners, and internal stakeholders to accelerate deal progression
  • Maintain accurate customer, pipeline, and opportunity data within CRM systems
  • Deliver compelling presentations, product demonstrations, and executive-level proposals
  • Monitor market trends, procurement processes, and government contracting vehicles to support sales success
  • Travel up to 50% to support customer engagement and business development activities

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of successful sales experience in public sector, law enforcement technology, cybersecurity, or CJIS-regulated environments
  • Proven track record in enterprise software or complex solution sales, ideally in access management or security domains
  • Strong experience managing full-cycle sales processes in a territory-based model
  • Deep understanding of state and local government procurement processes and contracting vehicles (e.g., GSA, NASPO) is a plus
  • Ability to engage and influence senior executive-level stakeholders
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills with a consultative selling approach
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to articulate technical solutions clearly
  • Highly organized with strong time management and ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional sales teams and channel partners
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience

Benefits:

  • Competitive total compensation package ranging from 210,000 to 320,000 USD, including base salary and variable incentives
  • Remote work flexibility within the United States
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Performance-based incentives and bonus opportunities
  • Career development opportunities in a fast-growing cybersecurity and identity solutions environment
  • Exposure to high-impact public sector and mission-critical customers
  • Collaborative and inclusive work culture focused on innovation and shared success
  • Travel opportunities supporting strategic client engagement and territory development
