Job Description

Sr. QA Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. QA Engineer in United States.

This Senior QA Engineer role sits at the center of a fast-moving engineering organization building next-generation digital platforms for roadside assistance and connected mobility services. You will ensure the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-quality software across web, mobile, and API-driven systems. The role combines hands-on test automation, technical problem-solving, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Engineering. You will work on complex systems involving platform architecture, dispatch optimization, and machine learning-driven components. Operating in a fully remote environment, you will help define and enforce QA best practices while driving continuous improvement. This position offers the opportunity to influence product quality at scale, impacting millions of real-world service events annually.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks and scripts across multiple platforms, ensuring scalability and adherence to coding standards.
  • Design, write, and execute detailed test cases and test plans aligned with functional requirements and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to clarify requirements, assess risks, and support product planning and delivery.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects with clear reproduction steps, logs, and supporting evidence, including production issues when needed.
  • Own end-to-end QA processes across web, mobile, and API layers to ensure consistent product quality and release readiness.
  • Participate in system design and architecture discussions to proactively identify quality risks and propose testing strategies.
  • Communicate testing progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a remote-first environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering and quality assurance roles.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Ruby.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Capybara, or similar tools, along with Cucumber.
  • Proven experience testing web and mobile applications and maintaining scalable automation suites.
  • Strong API testing experience (GraphQL preferred) using tools like Postman or JMeter.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based environments (AWS preferred), SQL, CI/CD pipelines, and test management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in distributed, remote teams.
  • Nice to have: exposure to ML/AI concepts, performance testing, load testing, or “shift-left” testing practices.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $130,000 USD, depending on experience and location.
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and mental health support.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match and tuition assistance programs.
  • Flexible time off policy, paid sick leave, and 10 paid holidays annually.
  • Family support benefits, including parental planning assistance.
  • Bonus and incentive programs based on performance.
  • Fully remote work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
