We're seeking an experienced Pharmacy Business Office Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy business office and help ensure our pharmacy services run efficiently, accurately, and compliantly.

What You'll Do

As the Pharmacy Business Office Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy business office while supporting pharmacy services across multiple care settings. In this role, you will:

  • Lead and oversee daily pharmacy business office operations
  • Manage pharmacy billing, collections, cash posting, accounts receivable and revenue cycle activities
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop the pharmacy business office staff
  • Monitor financial performance through reporting, reconciliations, and aging analysis
  • Develop and maintain office policies, procedures, and efficient workflows
  • Support budgeting, audits, compliance activities, and internal financial controls
  • Serve as the primary resource for pharmacy billing questions and issue resolution
  • Partner with pharmacy leadership to improve operational efficiency and business processes
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare Part D, Fraud, Waste & Abuse (FWA), and other regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support continuous process improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • An active Maine Pharmacy Technician license in good standing is required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy, healthcare billing, pharmacy operations, or revenue cycle management strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of pharmacy billing, accounts receivable and reimbursement processes
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook and Word

Shift
Full-time position with a primarily weekday schedule. Occasional early morning, evening, weekend, and overnight travel may be required.
