Cook/Dietary Aide in Ortonville, Minnesota at Ortonville Area Health Services

Fairway View Neighborhoods seeks a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Cook/Dietary Aide to join our Nutrition Services team. This role is responsible for preparing nutritious meals, serving residents, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting a positive dining experience for seniors residing in our long-term care community.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults, takes pride in providing high-quality meals, and understands the important role nutrition plays in resident health and well-being

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and therapeutic diet requirements

· Demonstrates understanding of procedures relating to food handling, dish washing, sanitizing work and eating surfaces

· Performs dietary activities according to instructions and established procedures and state/federal regulations

· Has working knowledge of diets, uses proper portions, garnishes and makes appropriate substitutions

· Ensure food is prepared and served in an attractive, appetizing manner

· Monitor portion control and food temperatures to maintain quality and safety

· Clean and sanitize dining rooms, kitchen surfaces, and food service equipment.

· Stock supplies and assist with kitchen organization.

Hours and Pay:

· Regular Part Time (64 hours per 2 week pay period), every other weekend rotation
