Position Summary

The ASN Shipping Clerk is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and documentation activities. This role ensures the accurate processing of Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs), inventory transactions, and outbound shipments while maintaining efficient warehouse operations. The position works closely with warehouse personnel, carriers, and internal teams to ensure products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and on time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

· Create, apply, and maintain identifying labels, tags, and documentation for inventory, transfers, and returns.

· Review work orders and shipping documentation to determine work assignments, material requirements, and equipment needs.

· Accurately record inventory movements and shipping activities using production logs, work tickets, and warehouse management systems.

· Move materials, freight, and inventory between storage locations, production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers using manual and powered material-handling equipment.

· Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.

· Prepare products and materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, documentation, and carrier coordination.

· Receive, inspect, unpack, and process incoming inventory and materials.

· Assist in developing and maintaining equipment preventative maintenance schedules and records.

· Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.

· Pack, secure, and repackage damaged shipments as needed.

· Maintain inventory accuracy through inventory control processes and bin replenishment activities.

· Protect and organize inventory within designated storage areas.

· Perform routine inventory cycle counts and support physical inventory activities.

· Process and manage Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs) accurately and timely.

· Follow all company safety policies and warehouse operating procedures.

· Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and Experience

· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

· Minimum of two (2) years of warehouse experience.

· Minimum of one (1) year of experience processing and managing Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs).

· Experience with inventory control, shipping, receiving, and warehouse documentation processes preferred.

Skills and Abilities

· Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data entry systems.

· Experience with Prophet 21 (P21) preferred.

· Ability to operate barcode printers, handheld scanners, and automated scanning equipment.

· Experience working within Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably Latitude.

· Knowledge of UPS and FedEx shipping systems.

· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining quality standards.

· Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

· Effective time management and prioritization skills.

· Ability to work overtime as business needs require.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to:

· Stand and walk for extended periods.

· Use hands and fingers to handle, grasp, feel, and manipulate objects.

· Reach with hands and arms.

· Communicate effectively through talking and hearing.

The employee is frequently required to:

· Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

· Lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 40 pounds.

The employee may occasionally be required to:

· Sit.

· Climb or balance.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily a warehouse setting and may involve:

· Working near moving mechanical equipment and powered industrial vehicles.

· Exposure to dust, fumes, airborne particles, and varying temperatures.

· Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

· Occasional work in elevated or restricted areas.

· Exposure to industrial chemicals and cleaning agents in accordance with safety guidelines.

· Adherence to all established safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
