Certified Coder

This remote, full-time opportunity is designed for a certified coding professional supporting accurate and compliant healthcare coding operations.

Accountabilities
  • Apply certified coding expertise to assigned healthcare coding activities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality.
  • Review and interpret relevant clinical and administrative documentation to support appropriate coding outcomes.
  • Follow established coding standards, policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and complete coding records while meeting expected productivity and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with relevant healthcare and operational stakeholders when clarification or additional documentation is required.
  • Protect the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive healthcare information throughout all coding activities.
  • Participate in professional development and maintain current knowledge of coding practices, standards, and applicable requirements.
  • Support remote operations effectively and travel up to 10% when business needs require.
Requirements
  • Certified coding professional with relevant experience in healthcare coding.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a professional healthcare coding environment.
  • Strong understanding of medical coding principles, terminology, documentation, and applicable coding guidelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a consistent commitment to coding accuracy and quality.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage assigned work efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining productivity, accountability, and communication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, compliance, and professional standards when handling sensitive healthcare information.
  • Willingness to maintain relevant coding knowledge and certifications through ongoing learning and professional development.

  • Annual salary range of $56,000–$94,000, depending on experience, skills, training, certifications, and other relevant factors.
