BRX is seeking a dedicated and passionate Self-Contained Teacher to join one of our top district partners in Glendale.
This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who wants to make a meaningful impact while working alongside a supportive school team. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating a structured, inclusive classroom and helping students reach their academic, behavioral, social, and functional goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized and small-group instruction in a self-contained classroom
- Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lessons
- Support students with a range of academic, behavioral, social, and functional needs
- Implement IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications
- Maintain a structured, positive, and supportive classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student programming
- Support students in developing academic, social, behavioral, and functional skills
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field
- Valid Arizona teaching certification
- Experience working with students with varying disabilities preferred
- Previous self-contained classroom experience preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction and meet diverse student needs
- Compassionate, dependable, flexible, and team-oriented
