Job Description

Position Details:
Firehawk is hiring two Operations Supervisors to support core manufacturing functions at our Lawton, OK facility. One supervisor will lead Compression Molding operations, and the other will oversee Final Assembly operations. Each leader will be responsible for driving daily production activities, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, coordinating cross functional workflows, and maintaining high standards of quality within a highly regulated aerospace environment.
Responsibilities
Lead daily manufacturing operations in assigned area (compression molding or final assembly), ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production flow.
• Execute and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and quality requirements for molding, assembly, inspection, and related manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EHS, NFPA, ATF, NAS 410 (for X ray/NDI), and all applicable aerospace and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate production documentation, including batch travelers, curing records, assembly logs, X ray/inspection logs, and quality reports.
• Coordinate workflow between production, engineering, quality, tooling, and supporting departments to ensure on time delivery and process continuity.
• Oversee the readiness and condition of equipment, including molding presses, assembly tooling, X ray systems, and PPE; support preventative maintenance programs.
• Inspect equipment and work areas regularly to ensure safety, operational readiness, and compliance with process controls.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, cycle time reduction, defect reduction, ergonomics, and overall efficiency.
• Monitor inventory of materials, components, tooling, and production supplies; escalate gaps as needed.
• Train, mentor, and supervise technicians in safe operation, correct process execution, and adherence to quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement corrective actions.
• Uphold a culture of safety, accountability, documentation accuracy, and operational discipline across the production team.
Basic Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing, composites, NDI/inspection, or a related technical field
• 6+ years of experience in production operations such as compression molding, assembly, inspection, aerospace manufacturing, or other regulated industrial environments
• Strong understanding of OSHA, EHS, NFPA, and other relevant safety standards for manufacturing and materials handling
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate production and quality documentation, including logs, travelers, curing records, and inspection reports
• Strong communication, documentation, teamwork, and leadership skills suitable for supervising technicians in a regulated aerospace environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerospace, defense, composites, NDI/inspection, or other highly regulated production environments
Hands on experience with compression molding processes, tooling, assembly workflows, X ray/NDI operations, or related manufacturing technologies
Background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or similar process optimization methodologies
Familiarity with ERP or documentation systems such as Deltek Costpoint
10–12+ years of experience in technical operations, assembly, molding, inspection, or aerospace manufacturing leadership (preferred but not required
ITAR Requirements:
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require minimal walking, standing for extended amounts of time, climbing, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat.
Security Clearance:
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
