Your Role
As Restaurant Floor Manager, you will oversee daily restaurant floor operations, guide service delivery, and support a seamless dining experience. Working closely with Food & Beverage leadership and the culinary team, you will balance attentive guest care with effective team coordination and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead restaurant service with a visible, approachable presence on the floor.
- Ensure service reflects Palm House’s luxury standards, with attention to presentation, timing, accuracy, and personalized guest interactions.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings covering menu knowledge, reservations, guest preferences, special occasions, and service priorities.
- Coordinate seating, table assignments, and service flow with hosts, servers, bartenders, and the culinary team.
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns promptly, professionally, and with thoughtful follow-through.
- Coach team members in service etiquette, menu knowledge, responsible beverage service, and effective communication.
- Support opening and closing procedures, side work, dining room readiness, and cleanliness.
- Assist with scheduling and staffing adjustments to maintain appropriate coverage throughout service.
- Monitor guest feedback and communicate opportunities for improvement to Food & Beverage leadership.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, alcohol service, cash handling, and hotel policies.
- Foster a respectful, collaborative environment that encourages accountability and pride in service.
- Previous restaurant supervisory or management experience in a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or fine dining environment.
- Strong understanding of dining room operations, elevated service standards, and guest recovery.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- A calm, professional approach in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong food and beverage knowledge, including familiarity with wine, cocktails, and dietary considerations.
- Experience with restaurant point-of-sale and reservation systems.
- Professional presentation and a commitment to Palm House’s grooming standards.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, throughout the seasonal assignment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the essential duties of an active restaurant floor role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements: Qualifications & Requirements- Minimum of two years of restaurant supervisory or management experience, preferably in a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or fine dining setting.
- Strong knowledge of dining room operations, luxury service standards, and guest relations.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team while maintaining a visible, hands-on presence during service.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of food, wine, and cocktails, with the ability to guide the team on menu offerings, allergens, and dietary requests.
- Ability to address guest concerns with discretion, professionalism, and timely follow-through.
- Experience with restaurant point-of-sale and reservation systems.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Professional appearance and adherence to Palm House’s grooming standards.
- Availability to work throughout the November–April seasonal assignment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during restaurant service.
- Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout dining and service areas.
- Ability to lift and carry service items and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to safely navigate a busy restaurant environment around guests, team members, and service equipment.
