Roasting Operators at Cameron s Coffee and Distribution Co – Shakopee, Minnesota

ROASTING OPERATOR- 1st Shift (6:00am-2:00pm)

This position will meet Wholesale roasted coffee needs by working closely with Green Coffee and Production staff on a daily basis. This is a full-time position, working five days per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Roaster will be responsible for:

• Fulfillment of daily coffee orders.

• Perform routine roaster cleaning and maintenance

• Assist with green coffee; inventory and floor counts, receiving, organizing and moving product; weighing and portioning for recipes

• General organization of the roastery; cleaning and other duties as needed

• Develop an understanding for Profile Roasting

• Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Roasting experience preferred, but not mandatory

• Previous manufacturing experience

• Experience with ERP or WMS

SKILLS NEEDED

• Proficiency in both spoken and written English.

• Basic math skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and or manipulate 125+ lbs.

USE OF POWERED INDUSTRIAL TRUCK (PIT) VEHICLES

Employees in this role utilize PIT vehicles in their day-to-day activity to safely transport loads up to 2000 lbs. within the factory and/or warehouse environment. Certification to each vehicle type is required as outlined in the Cameron’s Coffee Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Safety Program. The following PIT vehicle certifications are required for this role:

• Sit-down Forklift

• Electric Pallet Jack

• Genie Scissor Lift

• Floor Scrubber

• Silo Cart Caddy

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Typical production work environment. Not climate controlled. PPE provided.

• Roasting machines and the environment in which roasting happens can get warm. Proper dress should be considered
