About This Position
Position Summary
Execute all aspects of the production process including but not limited to roasting, post roast blending, coffee packaging, tea packaging, order building, physical inventory counts, cold brew production, and warehousing. Train underneath Director of Coffee for technical roasting standards and quality control, and reports to Operations Manager for daily scheduling, performance monitoring, and daily production needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Learn all aspects of the coffee roasting process and execute according to SOP
Perform start up, shutdown, cleaning, and basic maintenance of coffee roaster
Participate in regular coffee cuppings to ensure ability to detect QC issues in roasting process
Monitor roasting logs and maintain accurate records of roasting profiles
Execute all aspects of coffee packaging process, including sticker labeling, filling, and sealing
Produce packaged product to order and par system
Perform daily and weekly finished good inventory counts
Assist in all other areas of coffee production and tea packaging

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
Forklift certified (good to have, in-house training available)
Strong attention to detail and focus
Excellent communication and data entry skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and hit order deadlines
Ability to lift and move bags and boxes of up to 60 pounds

and smelling abilities are required frequently to distinguish with a degree of accuracy,
differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving
mechanical parts, airborne particles, and hot liquids. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
