Job Title: Payroll Data Entry Clerk

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering payroll data, maintaining employee records, and supporting the payroll department to ensure timely and precise payroll processing. This role requires strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter employee payroll data into the payroll system.
  • Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and other payroll documents.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations regarding payroll.
  • Assist in processing payroll for employees on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.
  • Maintain and update employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and discrepancies.
  • Assist with payroll audits and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Generate payroll reports as needed for management and accounting.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in data entry, payroll processing, or administrative support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks).
  • Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Work Environment:
